About Me
As a general neurologist at NYU Langone Neurology Associates, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care that prioritizes the wellbeing of my patients. I specialize in treating patients with neurological conditions, including migraines, dizziness, nerve entrapments, spine problems, and musculoskeletal disorders.
My subspecialties include headache management and peripheral nervous system disorders such as neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and muscle conditions. Additionally, I perform therapeutic injections for pain management and electromyograms (EMGs) to diagnose and treat nerve and muscle disorders.
My career began with service as a general neurologist in the U.S. Army, where I gained practical skills and a unique perspective on neurology. Serving as a captain at Fort Hood and later as a major at Brooke Army Medical Center, I developed a strong foundation in patient care.
My military background has instilled in me the importance of readiness and preparedness, which I incorporate into my practice to promote healthy longevity and preventive care. Since joining NYU Langone in 2007 as a clinical neurophysiology fellow and becoming a faculty member in 2008, I have continued to emphasize readiness and personalized care in my practice.
My journey into medicine was inspired by my maternal grandmother’s struggles with migraines, which sparked my curiosity about the brain and nervous system. This early interest was further reinforced by my studies in biochemistry, biology, and neuroscience during college, and solidified during my neurology rotations at Walter Reed Army Hospital and Madigan Army Hospital in medical school. This foundation has guided my career and continues to fuel my dedication to neurology and patient care.
