I have always been interested in working with children and in understanding pathophysiology, the study of changes in the body that result from injury or disease. Practicing medicine in the Congenital Cardiovascular Care Unit at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone allows me to see a wide variety of pediatric patients with complex cardiac pathophysiology.

I completed fellowship training in pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care and am board-certified in both specialties. I have additional clinical interest in mechanical circulatory support, and I assisted in the creation of the pediatric ventricular assist device program here at NYU Langone. I have a research interest in postoperative management of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. I also participate in resuscitation and sepsis quality improvement.

I am the associate program director of the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship training program at NYU Langone. I have an interest in medical education, and I oversee the cardiac critical care curriculum for the fellowship trainees. I also lead cardiac emergency simulation training for the fellowship trainees.

Having a child admitted to the hospital can be a scary and emotional experience, but I and the rest of the team work with you to attempt to make the situation as seamless as possible and provide the best outcome for your child and family.
