As part of NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Center, a National Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Institute–designated Comprehensive Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Center, we offer the most advanced radiation therapy equipment in Brooklyn. This includes the latest linear accelerator, used for external beam radiation therapy, a treatment that directs radiation at the tumor from outside the body. Our experts also plan radiation therapy treatments by using a CT simulator, which allows us to precisely locate the tumor and spare normal tissue.

The types of radiation therapy delivered by our team of specialized radiation therapists include stereotactic radiotherapy, a highly effective treatment for many types of cancer in which targeted radiation beams are delivered to the tumor in a short amount of time. We also have world-class physicists and dosimetrists as part of the radiation oncology team who help customize the safest and most effective treatment plan for each person.
